Call of proceedings Graz 2019
Dear participants of the MODRED 2019 in Graz,
As announced during the MODRED workshop, a special issue on model reduction of complex dynamical systems will appear in the Springer International Series of Numerical Mathematics.
The book focuses on the emerging topics and areas of model reduction for
complex systems with emphasis on
– Computational methods for model reduction of dynamical systems, in
particular
• rational interpolation (moment-matching, H2-optimal reduction)
• POD and generalizations
• reduced basis methods
• tensor-based techniques (PGD, low-tensor-rank approximations, …)
– Data-driven methods, e.g.
• vector fitting
• Loewner matrix and pencil based approaches
• dynamic mode decomposition (DMD)
• kernel-based methods
– Model reduction methods in applications, e.g.
• network systems
• computational electromagnetics
• computational nanoelectronics
• structural mechanics
• fluid dynamics
• control of PDEs
• data assimilation
– Surrogate modeling for design and optimization.
With this email we invite you to contribute an article to this book. All
submissions will be peer-reviewed.
Expected timeline:
Consent of participation: November 29, 2019
Paper submission: February 28, 2020
Review process: March – July 2020
